France claimed the third place in the Basketball World Cup and earned its fifth medal in the last six international competitions (no Olympic Games included).
More specifically, the French team has won the silver medal in the 2011 EuroBasket, the gold medal in the 2013 EuroBasket and the bronze medals in the 2014 Basketball World Cup, the 2015 EuroBasket and the 2019 Basketball World Cup, respectively.
Only in 2017 they failed to claim a medal.
