TalkBasket.net (“we”) publishes basketball news at talkbasket.net, including the AMP version of those pages. This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the site, and the choices you have.
We update this page when the tools change. The date above is the notice of a change.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. The site also uses similar storage, such as local storage, for consent and advertising. Some of these are set by us. Most are set by the companies below when their content loads.
Essential
These are required for security, caching, and load balancing, including cookies set by Cloudflare. The site also stores your consent choice. Blocking these in the browser can break pages or make the consent banner repeat.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (property G-XJE33XVGNF) to count visits, pages, and rough location. On normal pages this is loaded by Flying Analytics. On AMP pages it is loaded by the AMP plugin. IP addresses are processed by Google. We use the reports to see which articles are read. We also count page views on our own server. That counter does not build an advertising profile.
Advertising
We fund the site with ads. Google AdSense and Snack Media serve them. Snack Media runs an auction, so other advertising vendors may receive the request and set or read a cookie. Advertising cookies remember visits and ad clicks so that ads can be measured and, if you allow it, tailored. Without consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, ads are limited or not personalised.
Embedded content
Articles may include a YouTube video or an X post. Those embeds are loaded from YouTube and X. They can set their own cookies and receive your IP address, as if you had opened that site. A YouTube video does not load the player until you press play.
Consent
In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, Google’s consent message asks before analytics and advertising cookies are used for personalisation. You can change that choice at any time through “Privacy and cookie settings” at the bottom of the page, on both the normal and AMP versions. The message is managed by Google and complies with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (CMP ID 300).
Outside those regions the full message is not shown. You can still refuse cookies in your browser. A Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an opt-out where the tool supports it.
Your choices
Use “Privacy and cookie settings” to withdraw or change consent. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking them may stop embedded posts, video playback, or ad measurement from working.
To ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data tied to a cookie identifier, email info@talkbasket.net. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
