France came back from a double-digit deficit and defeated Australia (67-59) to finish third in the 2019 Basketball World Cup.
The Boomers were in control until the start of the fourth quarter (11-16, 21-30, 42-46) and led by as many as 15 points (25-40).
The French, though, turned things around and tied the game, thanks to a 25-10 run (50-50).
With Andrew Albicy making three three-pointers, France closed the match on a 17-9 run and earned the victory, as Australia never recovered after that (67-59).
France claimed the bronze medal in the tournament, whereas Australia finished fourth.
