Two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic is reportedly pleased with the Denver Nuggets’ offseason moves, which included bringing back Bruce Brown and signing Tim Hardaway Jr., according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
The update came during an episode of The Hoop Collective Podcast, where Windhorst shared secondhand information about Jokic’s reaction.
Windhorst stated that although Jokic has not publicly commented in English, he was told the center approved of the team’s decisions. Bringing back Brown, a key contributor during the 2023 championship run, and adding veteran shooter Hardaway Jr. have bolstered Denver’s bench depth.
The 2025–26 season marks a new chapter for the Nuggets. This will be their 50th year in the NBA and the first since 2014–15 without Michael Malone, who was dismissed in April. David Adelman, who served as an assistant under Malone, was promoted to head coach in May.
Denver also made front-office changes, naming Ben Tenzer interim general manager after parting ways with Calvin Booth. These transitions did not deter the team from aggressively reshaping the roster during free agency and trades.
The Nuggets executed notable moves in the offseason, trading Michael Porter Jr. and a future first-round pick to Phoenix for Cameron Johnson and acquiring Jonas Valanciunas in a separate deal with Sacramento.
Denver enters the new season without a pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, which aligns with its win-now mentality. Despite major coaching and executive changes, the organization appears to have kept its franchise player satisfied with moves designed to keep them competitive.
