One of the notable storylines from the blockbuster Giannis Antetokounmpo trade is Tyler Herro’s move to the Bucks, bringing the veteran guard back to his hometown of Milwaukee.

According to reports, Herro is “thrilled” about the opportunity and had long imagined playing for the Bucks at some point during his NBA career.

The Milwaukee native grew up in the area and starred at Whitnall High School before beginning his college career at Kentucky after initially committing to Wisconsin.

While the homecoming is a significant moment for Herro, his long-term future with the organization remains uncertain.

Milwaukee is expected to make several roster decisions following the departure of Antetokounmpo, and Herro could either become part of the team’s next core or emerge as a trade candidate.

The former All-Star is entering the final year of his contract and is set to earn $33 million during the 2026-27 season, making him one of the key pieces to watch as the Bucks reshape their roster.
