The Denver Nuggets agreed to a one-year contract with free agent sharpshooter Tim Hardaway Jr., according to Shams Charania. The move was part of Denver’s focused effort to add shooting depth in free agency this week.

Hardaway, 33, played a key role for the Detroit Pistons during their 2024-25 campaign, averaging 11.0 points per game while shooting 36.8% from three-point range.

His consistent perimeter scoring addressed one of the Nuggets’ priorities after adding Cam Johnson, Bruce Brown Jr., and Jonas Valanciunas earlier.

Hardaway Jr. brings 12 years of NBA experience and a reliable outside shot to the Nuggets’ roster. Over his career, he has averaged 13.7 points per game with a 36.1% three-point shooting percentage.

Last season with Detroit, Hardaway started all 77 games and logged 28 minutes per night, proving durable and dependable. His ability to hit timely shots should complement Denver’s core of Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray.
