The Denver Nuggets have officially named David Adelman as their new permanent head coach, solidifying his role after years of service as a trusted assistant under Michael Malone.

Adelman had stepped into the interim head coaching position late in the regular season and is now set to lead the team moving forward.

During his brief but impactful stint as interim head coach, Adelman guided the Nuggets through a strong postseason showing.

Under his leadership, Denver overcame the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round before falling to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a tightly contested seven-game series in the Western Conference Semifinals.

Adelman brings over a decade of NBA coaching experience to the position.

He began his professional coaching career in 2011 with the Minnesota Timberwolves, followed by a short tenure with the Orlando Magic, before becoming part of the Nuggets coaching staff in 2017.

Since then, he has been a key figure in the team’s player development and strategic planning.

While Adelman’s promotion provides some clarity for the team’s future direction on the bench, Denver has yet to name a new general manager to succeed Calvin Booth, leaving a critical front-office vacancy unfilled as the offseason begins.
