Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv added depth to its frontline with the signing of veteran center Ike Ofoegbu on Tuesday. Ofoegbu (2.05 meters, 31 years old) last played with Arecibo of Puerto Rico over the summer, where he averaged 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds. Last season he played with fellow Israeli side Maccabi Haifa, where he was a force in the paint with 17.1 points and 6.9 rebounds in addition to 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Ofoegbu started his professional by playing two seasons with Belgian side Gent Dragons from 2007 until 2009, and during the course of the next four seasons played for clubs in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Argentina and Venezuela, before joining Maccabi Haifa in 2013. Now he is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut.
