Nets exercise Egor Demin and four others’ options

The Brooklyn Nets have exercised their 2027-28 rookie scale team options on five young players, securing another season of contractual control over Egor Demin, Drake Powell, Ben Saraf, Nolan Traore and Danny Wolf.

The decisions activate the third-year options on all five players’ rookie contracts, keeping them under contract through the 2027-28 campaign.

Demin has established himself as a regular starter for Brooklyn, earning a consistent role in the team’s lineup.

Traore has also secured a place in the rotation, receiving playing time on a nightly basis.

Meanwhile, Powell, Saraf and Wolf are still working to establish themselves as regular contributors.

The three players have yet to secure consistent minutes as they compete for opportunities in Brooklyn’s rotation.

Under the exercised options, Demin will earn $7.5 million during the 2027-28 season, making him the highest-paid player among the five.

Traore is scheduled to make $4.2 million, while Powell will receive $3.7 million. Saraf’s salary will be $3.2 million, and Wolf will earn $3.1 million.

The five contracts will account for approximately $21.7 million on Brooklyn’s books for the 2027-28 season.
