The Los Angeles Clippers have picked up the 2027-28 rookie scale team option on center Yanic Konan Niederhauser, keeping the young big man under contract for another season.
The decision activates the third-year option on Niederhauser’s rookie contract, guaranteeing him just over $3 million for the 2027-28 campaign.
Niederhauser established himself as an important part of the Clippers’ rotation last season, earning consistent playing time and becoming a regular contributor in the frontcourt.
Following his performances, Los Angeles planned to move the 6-foot-11 center into the starting lineup this season.
However, Niederhauser has been sidelined by a foot injury since the beginning of the campaign and has yet to make his season debut.
