Maccabi targets Jeff Dowtin

Maccabi Tel Aviv is exploring a potential move for guard Jeff Dowtin Jr., according to multiple sources cited by Israeli basketball reporter Moshe Barda.

The 28-year-old free agent is coming off a standout campaign in the NBA G League, where he averaged 24.6 points per game while shooting 43.4% from beyond the arc.

Dowtin also contributed 4.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game for the Delaware Blue Coats in 2024–25, solidifying his profile as a versatile scorer and playmaker.

His most notable NBA performance came in April 2024, when he scored a career-high 30 points for the Philadelphia 76ers against the Washington Wizards.

The guard who played 87 games in the NBA averaged this year in the G-League 24.6PPG shooting over 40% from deep grabbing 3 boards and dishing just over 4 dimes per game. His career high in the NBA was achieved last April where he scored 30 points against the wizards.

Over four NBA seasons, the Rhode Island product has appeared in 87 regular-season games with the Warriors, Bucks, Magic, Raptors, and Sixers, averaging 4.8 points on 47.3% shooting.

Maccabi’s interest in Dowtin is partly tied to existing connections—he previously played alongside new signings Oshae Brissett and Lonnie Walker IV, both of whom recently joined the Tel Aviv roster.
