Zalgiris Kaunas head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius was satisfied with the win over Crvena Zvezda, but wants his players to keep working.

“Everything is important, you know. We just really need to pick up more. We are giving a lot of teams 14 or 15 points. I don’t want to sound like I cannot be happy about the win, but there are just too many gifts we are giving in all these situations.

At the same time, it’s very difficult to win here in this atmosphere, so hopefully our guys will take this as a character lesson. We have to, as a young team, go through these situations, come out on top and hopefully take something from it.

We’ll take the win, we’ll keep going and we’ll keep on working. We’ll be happy, fly to Athens and try to have a good game there,” Jasikevicius told reporters.

The Lithuanians defeated Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade (70-76) and put an end to the Serbians’ three-game winning streak.

Zalgiris is at 6-13, whereas Zvezda dropped to 9-10.
