Zenit Saint Petersburg forward Will Thomas said the team is working hard and is starting to be competitive in the EuroLeague.
Thomas was the best player of the Russians (19 points, 7/8 shooting, six rebounds) and led his team to the 72-66 victory over Baskonia at home.
“Getting defensive stops and rebounding the ball were the keys. We had a few steals and were able to score some free throws down the end to help us seal the win.
We have been working hard all season. We are working to be competitive in the EuroLeague and now it is starting to show,” Thomas told reporters afterwards.
Zenit improved to 6-13, whereas Baskonia dropped to 7-12.
