Andre Drummond will not be in the lineup of the Los Angeles Lakers for the game against the Miami Heat on Thursday.

Drummond is dealing with a toe injury (right big toe contusion) and will miss his third straight game. His addition raised the championship odds of the defending champion, per the Australian online casinos, yet the veteran big man has played once so far.

Lakers head coach, Frank Vogel, confirmed the news prior to the game against the Toronto Raptors. However, he is hopeful Drummond will return to the lineup Thursday against the Miami Heat.

Aside from Drummond, three more Lakers players will be out for the game, whereas Wesley Matthews (neck strain) will be available.

For their part, the Raptors will be without six players for the contest.

Despite his injury, Drummond is expected to bolster the frontline of the Lakers and help them return to the top of the West. Despite dropping to fifth in the standings and struggling without LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers are still among the top title contenders, according to the best USA casino sites.
