Andre Drummond opened up about his decision to leave the Los Angeles Lakers and not re-sign with the 2020 NBA champions.
Drummond explained the moves the Lakers made in free agency showed the direction the team was heading at, so the veteran big man had no reason to return to the team.
“Times is changing, and they made different trades and different changes to their team to where it didn’t make sense for me to go back there. I just took the next best thing after that, and it was to come to Philly. I think it’s a great fit for me,” Drummond noted.
Andre Drummond will play for the Philadelphia 76ers next season, after signing an one-year deal with the franchise earlier this week.
