Goran Dragic and the Miami Heat are interested in signing a new deal, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The veteran guard will become a free agent, but Miami wants to keep him in the roster next season.
“The Heat will look to re-sign Dragic, and with the organization prioritizing flexibility it could mean a shorter-term contract offer. After a standout postseason, Dragic also will have several interested parties.
There’s mutual interest in a new deal for the Heat and Dragic, who was Miami’s second-leading postseason scorer with 19.1 points per game,” Charania reports.
Dragic is coming off a stellar postseason with the Heat, which boosted his chances to re-sign with the squad.
