The Utah Jazz lost both Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. to injuries during their 110-105 defeat against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Markkanen sustained a right wrist injury in the first quarter and was unable to continue playing.
Jackson also exited the game after injuring his right knee during the second quarter.
Jazz head coach Will Hardy confirmed that both players are scheduled to undergo MRI examinations on Tuesday to determine the extent of their injuries.
“We’ll know more tomorrow once they get some imaging,” Hardy said.
The injuries come early in the season for Utah, with both players serving as important contributors to the team’s offense.
Markkanen has averaged 20.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game through the opening stretch of the season.
Jackson, meanwhile, is averaging 19.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest.
