Alex Caruso suffers ankle sprain as Thunder injury concerns grow

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Alex Caruso suffered a right ankle sprain during his team’s 125-114 victory over the Phoenix Suns.

Caruso exited the game in the first half and did not return. Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault confirmed afterward that the veteran guard had suffered a sprain and “nothing else.”

The injury adds to Oklahoma City’s growing list of unavailable players, with several important members of the rotation already sidelined.

Cason Wallace is dealing with a torn labrum in his left shoulder, while Jalen Williams suffered a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula.

Both players face uncertain timelines, with their availability for the remainder of the season in question.

Meanwhile, Chet Holmgren was also unavailable against Phoenix because of patellar tendinitis in his right knee.
