The Miami Heat have added seven players, in addition to Avery Bradley, to the out/health and safety protocols list following the completion of contact tracing.

The eight players include the following:

  • Avery Bradley
  • Jimmy Butler
  • Goran Dragic
  • Kendrick Nunn
  • Bam Adebayo
  • Moe Harkless
  • Udonis Haslem
  • KZ Okpala

Bradley was the first to be placed on the list on Jan. 10 and as a result, the Heat didn’t have the required eight players to proceed with their game against the Boston Celtics due to contact tracing.

The Heat are arranging for the players who need to self-isolate due to contact tracing to fly back to Miami on a private plane, according to Ira Winderman of The South Florida Sun Sentinel.

The player who tested positive for COVID-19 will be isolated in a hotel, while the rest of the team flies to Philadelphia for their scheduled game against the 76ers on Jan. 12.

As of now, the Heat have nine available players including Precious Achiuwa, Tyler Herro, Andre Iguodala, Meyers Leonard, Kelly Olynyk, Duncan Robinson, Chris Silva and two-way players Max Strus and Gabe Vincent.

However, Leonard is currently questionable with a shoulder injury, while Olynyk and Vincent are probable with a groin and knee injury, respectively.
