Goran Dragic’s heart will always be in South Beach, but it remains to be seen if the Miami Heat will entertain a reunion with him, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

“The former Heat guard, who finished last season with Milwaukee after a buyout from Chicago, would welcome a return to Miami. There has been no Heat pursuit to this point, a source said.”

Last month, the 37-year-old Dragic already echoed his desire to conclude his career in Miami – which only shows that his love for the club won’t fade away even if they parted ways prior to the 2021-22 season.

“I mean, look, how should I put it?” Dragic said in his appearance on 560 Sports WQAM. “I live here, my kids are here, so definitely if I am looking to finish my career, I mean, it would be a no-brainer to finish in Miami. This is my home. I spent an unbelievable seven years here. I love all the players, all the people in the front office. This is the city that I see myself in the future, so hell yeah, why not?”

Dragic spent a solid 6 ½ seasons as a member of the Heat, averaging 16.2 points and 5.2 assists for 391 total regular season matches. From there, he attained a star status upon being named an All-Star last 2017-18 season.

Now, after finishing his 2022-23 campaign with the Milwaukee Bucks, Dragic is listed as a free agent in the market.

Unlike Dragic, the Heat are much more laser-focused on acquiring superstar point guard Damian Lillard for the Portland Trail Blazers as both sides have already expressed their desire for a union this offseason.
