U.S. President Donald Trump had a very recent discussion with Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta. That is according to Bloomberg’s White House correspondent Justin Sink and New York Times writer Sopan Deb.

The conversation spanned the controversy brought about by Rockets GM Daryl Morey’s tweet regarding Hong Kong, one that prompted fraught circumstances between the NBA and China, ultimately costing the league millions.

Per a transcript shared by Deb, Trump asks Fertitta if Morey is still working for him, suggesting he must be very good at his job to have kept it under the circumstances.

Deb also posted bits from a conversation about the NBA season possibly resuming, with the POTUS stating he’s down with the idea of a few games being played out before the playoffs.
