The Basketball Champion is a new board game that transformed one of the best sports in the world, Basketball, into a fun and challenging board game. The game is played in seasons and during these seasons every player starts building his own basketball team. You play special cards to strengthen your team or weaken your opponents. The highlight of the season is the tournament. The teams play against each other to become the Basketball Champion. The game has everything: You need strategy and a bit of luck, you will have to handle money for buying more players and cards, and in the tournament you have to read your opponents’ minds so you can defeat them all.
The design of the game is completely basketball themed and you will find basketball terms throughout the game. However, you do not need to be a basketball fan to play the game. “Soon we decided to create the game in a way that everyone can play it without being a basketball fan. We tested the game with a lot of people, many not having a big idea of basketball and they still loved it. That made us think that we should share our game with you guys and see if you love it as much as we do.” says Kamal Singh, basketball fan himself and creator of The Basketball Champion.
The game will be published by AAG GAMES Ltd. The company is situated in Toronto, Canada and is focused on transforming sport games into exciting board games.
