Milwaukee Bucks guard Kevin Porter Jr. is expected to miss an extended period after aggravating a strained oblique, according to head coach Doc Rivers.

The injury has lingered despite Porter attempting to play through it in recent games.

The player underwent an MRI on Tuesday to determine the severity of the issue, though the team has not established a clear timeline for his return.

Rivers indicated that the focus now is on recovery rather than pushing for a quick comeback.

Before the injury sidelined him, Porter had been a consistent offensive contributor for Milwaukee, averaging 16.8 points per game this season and providing scoring punch in the backcourt.

Rivers also provided an update on another key player, noting that Myles Turner is dealing with a left ankle sprain.
