Kevin Porter Jr. will remain with the Bucks after exercising his $5.39 million player option for the 2026-27 season, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The decision keeps Porter in Milwaukee as the franchise begins a new era following the trade of Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Despite dealing with a knee injury last season, the 26-year-old appeared in 38 games and averaged 17.4 points, 7.4 assists, and 2.2 steals while making 36 starts.

Porter is expected to be part of a revamped backcourt that now includes Tyler Herro, Kasparas Jakucionis, Brayden Burries, and Ryan Rollins.

His ability to create off the dribble and attack the basket gives Milwaukee a different style of guard compared to the rest of the group.

The Bucks are still awaiting decisions from Taurean Prince and Gary Trent Jr. on their player options, while Gary Harris and Jericho Sims are also expected to return after opting into their contracts.
