Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon expressed enthusiasm about the team’s offseason moves during an interview with Malika Andrews on NBA Today, highlighting key additions aimed at building a championship-caliber roster.
Gordon praised the acquisition of center Jonas Valanciunas from Sacramento, calling him “Big Val” and emphasizing his impact on both ends of the floor. He also highlighted the addition of swingman Tim Hardaway Jr. as a boost to the team’s shooting depth.
The Nuggets further strengthened their lineup by bringing back versatile guard-forward Bruce Brown, a contributor to Denver’s 2023 championship run. “Brucey B is back. Uh-oh. Might be problems for y’all, Brucey B is back,” Gordon said, via The Sports Rush.
Denver traded Michael Porter Jr. to Brooklyn in exchange for Cameron Johnson, a move Gordon described as another key step in shaping a competitive roster. He noted the potential of the revamped squad to challenge the Western Conference.
Gordon, who turned 30 this week, is coming off a season averaging 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 51 games. He has fully recovered from the hamstring injury that limited him in the 2024–25 Western Conference semifinals against Oklahoma City.
Denver is entering its 50th NBA season with new leadership, including head coach David Adelman and executives Ben Tenzer and Jon Wallace. Gordon acknowledged the significance of the organizational changes while emphasizing excitement about the current roster’s potential.
