The New Orleans Pelicans have announced the signing of Adonis Arms, adding another versatile piece to their roster. Arms, standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 209 pounds, brings both size and skill to the team’s backcourt and wing rotation.
Last season, Arms played in 42 games for the Memphis Hustle, the G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies.
During that stint, he posted impressive averages of 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists over 28.6 minutes per game, showcasing his ability to contribute in multiple facets of the game.
A Texas Tech alumnus, Arms has been a consistent performer across his two seasons in the NBA G League. Over 88 games, he has put up career numbers of 14.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 26.8 minutes per contest.
Known for his athleticism, defensive versatility, and ability to score, Arms has steadily refined his game since leaving the collegiate ranks.
In a corresponding roster move, the Pelicans waived Izaiah Brockington, who had recently signed with the team.
Brockington, a standout from Iowa State, joined the Pelicans looking to carve out a spot, but the organization opted to go in a different direction, perhaps aiming to bolster their wing depth with the signing of Arms.
The addition of Arms to the Pelicans’ roster adds depth and competition to the team’s guard and wing positions as they continue to shape their lineup ahead of the upcoming NBA season.
