EuroLeague shareholders have also decided to continue evaluating the addition of new franchises as part of the competition’s planned expansion.

The subject was discussed at the owners meeting in Cernobbio after EuroLeague received multiple binding offers from professional clubs interested in joining the competition.

No new franchises were selected during the meeting. Instead, the owners assigned the Board of Directors to continue reviewing the available proposals and candidates.

The board is expected to complete its assessment and present a final recommendation to shareholders for approval in the coming weeks.

The expansion process is being considered alongside the conversion of the existing 13 shareholder licenses into franchises, as EuroLeague works on the future structure of the competition.
