Anthony Davis went off for a season-high 55 points leading the Lakers to a road win against the Wizards (130-119).

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham says that the way that the forward is playing helps his teammates, especially LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.

“It does help Bron, it allows him to be more efficient with his energy, more efficient with his workload,” Ham said postgame. “There’s times where again we can go through AD and just feed AD, feed AD, feed AD. And then we’re not worrying about Bron be a world beater or try to make plays through three of four people and Russ in the same boat allowing his to play more freer.

“And [AD] wants it, he wants to be that guy for the team. I think it’s beautiful to watch because his teammates they’re encouraging him, they’re trying to give him the ball any and every possession. It’s just been cool, man. He has everyone rallying around him. I’m just thrilled by the way he’s been playing.”

This season Davis is averaging 27.2 points, 12.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 34.5 minutes per game.
