Anthony Davis delivered a big-time performance as he dropped 30 points and grabbed 23 rebounds. He also had 5 assists and 4 blocks.

With the statline of 30/20, the 30-year-old power forward joined an exclusive list of Lakers players, namely, Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, Shaquille O’Neal and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham was made aware of this fact during he postgame press conference.

“You’re talking about top 75 players, some of the best players that our league or basketball in general has ever saw in its history,” Ham said.

“That’s what we expect of him. We know what he’s capable of. It’s great. We needed every bit of all those points and rebounds, and blocked shots, and assists as well.”

Ham also praised AD’s performance on the defensive end of the ball. “He’s elite defensively,” he said about the superstar. “His ability to change shots, block shots and then still gather the rebounds that’s rare.

“That’s rare company for guys that are able to do that. And I told him before the game – dominate on both sides of the ball and he’s been doing that. We expect nothing less from him. And we expect it to continue.”
