Three-time NBA champion JaVale McGee has been waived by the Shanghai Sharks after appearing in just eight games for the Chinese Basketball Association team.
However, McGee’s time with the Shanghai Sharks lasted only eight games, with the organization officially announcing his release.
According to reports, Shanghai is planning to replace the veteran center with another former NBA player, two-time champion Chris Boucher.
McGee, who earned more than $86.7 million during his NBA career, previously won two championships with the Golden State Warriors and another with the Lakers.
Despite his recent success in Puerto Rico and Australia, the 38-year-old now faces another change in his professional career following his brief stay in China.
