The Los Angeles Lakers center Thomas Bryant underwent successful surgery today to repair the ulnar collateral ligament on his left thumb.

The big man will be reevaluated by team doctors in approximately three weeks, and further updates will be provided at that time.

Bryant appeared in 27 games (nine starts) for the Wizards last season, averaging 7.4 points (.520 FG%) and 4.0 rebounds in 16.3 minutes.
