According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Charlotte Hornets small forward Gordon Hayward will miss the Play-In Tournament due to discomfort in his left foot. Hayward will be placed in a cast to immobilize his foot and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
In 49 games this season Hayward, who missed 26 of Charlotte’s final 27 games of the regular season, was averaging 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists while shooting 46 percent from the field and 39 percent from deep.
