As the season draws to a close for the Lakers, the future of the team is entering discussions. The top two names that are being mentioned are Russell Westbrook and head coach Frank Vogel, both of which are expected to leave Los Angeles.

The former has had a disappointing season after arriving as a third superstar next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Westbrook’s name was floated in rumors ahead of the trade deadline but a potential deal with the Rockets did not happen and he stayed with the Lakers.

However, it is thought that L.A. will try to move Russ in offseason, whether it’s via stretching his contract or finding a trade partner. NBA insider Jovan Buha named three teams that could potentially make a deal for Westbrook.

“I guess my top three will probably be again Houston, New York and Charlotte, based on what I’ve heard and what other people have reported,” said Buha about potential destinations for Westbrook on The Forum Club: A Show About The Los Angeles Lakers.
