Isaiah Thomas’ return to the NBA is yet to be made, as the veteran point guard is trying to find a new NBA home and a roster spot in the league’s squad.
According to Shams Charania, the former Celtics guard is working with the Dallas Mavericks alongside Monta Ellis and Lance Stephenson, who are also looking for a chance in the NBA.
The former King in the Fourth last played with the New Orleans Pelicans in April 2021. He appeared in three games with the Pelicans, before becomes a free agent again.
The floor general has plenty of people pulling for him to get one more shot at proving he can help a team win. After the Lakers signed fellow veteran guard Rajon Rondo, Thomas interest from the LA franchise has diminished.
The Mavericks are in need of shot creators, and Thomas was one of the best to pick up his opponents. After his injury, he still could not find his form to secure a contract in the NBA.
