Luka Doncic agreed to sign a five-year, $207M contract extension with the Dallas Mavericks, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Doncic, 22, has become one of the most accomplished players in the NBA, leading the Dallas Mavericks to multiple playoff appearances the last two seasons.

The Slovenian wonderkid won Rookie of the Year in 2018-19 and has been a first-team All-NBA selection the last two seasons. He was the third overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft.

Doncic, who was the leader of the Slovenian national team to its first Olympic berth and a fourth-place finish in Tokyo, averaged 25.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game in his NBA career so far.

The Mavericks are hoping to build a contending team around Doncic after their two first round exits in the last two seasons.

The Mavs’ young superstar will sign his contract on Tuesday in Slovenia and will hold a press conference afterwards, according to ESPN.
