LeBron James is highly regarded for his offense, but he is just as capable on the defensive end. Frank Vogel, head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, praised LeBron’s IQ in defensive coverages and said he expects him to be the same this season.
“His IQ is second to none with defensive coverages … his effort has been along the same lines. There was a high care factor there, and I’d expect that to be the same this year,” Vogel said, per Mike Trudell.
One of the highlights of James’ defense last season was him requesting to be assigned to guard Jimmy Butler during the NBA Finals.
