Former NBA guard Nick Young believes the Memphis Grizzlies have become a better team without Ja Morant, while also suggesting that the star guard has changed his approach because of outside criticism.
Young said he prefers the more aggressive version of Morant, who previously played with greater confidence and was less concerned about public opinion.
“Just because I don’t like this Ja he’s broking I feel like, you know? The media done broke him. I love the shoes , I love he’s giving off but I like throwing the grenade Ja bring him back, sh*t.
“Fu*k trying to buy in be Ja we need you to go out there and get 20. Dame is 36, 37 I’m still in my 20s, my shoes sell more than Dame’s I’m in Nike in Portland. It feel like he’s trying to fit in what the people want.”
