Anthony Davis reacted to the news that the Los Angeles Lakers have acquired Dennis Schroder via a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Davis believes Schroder is a great addition for the Lakers and will make the difference for the team on both ends.

“He’s a great pickup, with Schröder alongside LeBron, and the other guys they (Lakers) decide to acquire or whatever. I think it was a good pickup.

Like you said, he could easily win sixth man of the year, any given year. He played great alongside C.P. (Chris Paul) and Shai (Gilgeous-Alexander).

He’s tough, he shot the ball well this year, he can get in the paint, he can find guys, and he’s very, very scrappy. I think it was a good move, a good pickup for the Los Angeles Lakers,” Davis told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, via Donny McHenry of Lakers Outsiders.

Schroder averaged 18.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and four assists for the Thunder last season.

For his part, Davis opted out of his current contract with the Lakers and will enter free agency. He is expected to sign a new deal with the defending champions next week.
