The Los Angeles Lakers intend to present ‘several options’ to Anthony Davis in order to convince him to remain with the team.

Davis declined his player option for the 2020/21 season, worth $28.7M, and will enter free agency next Friday, November 20.

“The Lakers, sources said, will present several options to Davis and his agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, in order to work with the superstar on the deal that makes him feel the most comfortable being part of the franchise moving forward,” Dave McMenamin of ESPN reports.

Davis led the Lakers to the 2020 NBA championship in October and has expressed his desire to stay in the team long term.

The big man of the Lakers averaged a team high 27.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.4 blocks last season.
