The combination of Anthony Davis and Dennis Schroder was not ideal last year. According to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, Davis was not satisfied with the looks he was getting from the German point guard.

“Per an NBA source familiar with some of the Lakers’ struggles through the 2020-21 campaign, Davis felt some frustration that he wasn’t getting the kind of looks in the post with Dennis Schroder running the point compared to those he received with Rondo a year earlier,” Pincus wrote.

Davis had his worst year individually this past season since the 2013-2014 season. The 28-year-old forward averaged 21.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
