The New Orleans Pelicans are “openly” discussing star Jrue Holiday in trade talks, according to Shams Charania.

Several contending teams are reportedly pursuing the veteran guard.

While no specific teams were listed in the report, it was previously reported that the Pelicans have been approached by around 10 teams regarding Holiday.

The Denver Nuggets have been considered one of the main suitors, as they have potential trade assets.

This past season, Holiday averaged 19.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

The 30-year-old still has two years left on his contract, as he is owed $25 million this season, $26.2 million in 2020-2021 and a player option for the 2021-2022 season worth $27.1 million.

No trades can be completed yet, as the transaction moratorium is still in place.
