Sophie Cunningham discusses dildo thrown during game

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham recalled being hit by a sex toy thrown onto the court during a WNBA game, admitting that she thought about taking it home as a souvenir.

Cunningham shared the unusual experience during an appearance on Theo Von’s podcast, where the two discussed incidents involving fans throwing objects onto the court during WNBA games.

Von brought up the situation while talking about some of the unusual events that have attracted attention around the league.

“You guys’ league always seems like, has the wildest sh*t, when people were throwing those wieners on the court and all that,” Von said.

Cunningham responded by revealing that she had personally been hit by one of the objects during a game.

“I got hit by one of them… Hit me in the left foot.”

Von then asked whether any players had decided to keep one of the objects after the incidents.

“Did anybody take one home or was that a taboo or whatever?”

Cunningham admitted that she had briefly considered taking the object home because of how unusual the experience was.

“I lowkey kind of wanted to take it home though just to be like I was probably the first person to get hit by a dildo while playing in a WNBA game.”

The Fever guard also recalled how her teammates reacted to the incident afterward, explaining that they teased her about her surprised response.

“I actually got made fun of in the locker room cuz they’re like, ‘Have you never seen a dildo before?’ And I was like, ‘Dude, I’m like playing a basketball game. I wasn’t expecting one to be thrown at me.’ So, it was fun.”
