Ryan Broekhoff will join the Philadelphia 76ers in the Orlando restart with the hope of remaining in the NBA for the next season.
“I think the opportunity in the end was too hard to pass up,” the Austrialian said to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“I still feel like I’m on the cusp of finding somewhere steady in the NBA,” Broekhoff continued, “and hopefully that will be Philly.”
Broekhoff played five seasons in Europe, before signing a two-year deal with the Mavs on August 2018. Despite reportedly getting enough interest to play for a EuroLeague side, the forward will have the chance to prove that he belongs to the NBA.
