Panathinaikos and Olympiacos were not involved in any domestic ties but the bottom of the Greek A1 League changed slightly this week with Ilysiakos victorious and lifting themselves off the bottom.

Ilysiakos 78-77 PAOK

Fourth-placed PAOK looked at this game as a ‘must-win’ but perhaps showed no respect to bottom-ranked Ilysiakos and it has cost them. With this win Ilysiakos climb off the bottom of the A1 League.

Panagiotis Kafkis led Ilysiakos with 15 points. Gianni Vavatsikos and Nikos Chatzis added 14 with the latter going 10/10 from the foul line.

KAOD 81-68 Panelefsiniakos

Panelefsiniakos find themselves bottom of the Greek League after they lost 81-68 away at KAOD in a game that was decided in the first quarter.

KAOD took a 23-12 lead after the first ten minutes of play and held their advantage for the majority of the game despite a comeback from the basement side.

Lazeric Jones led the winners with 20 points. Nikola Markovic recorded a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Ikaros 96-88 Kolossos

Another of the basement sides in the A1 League came away with a win this week with Ikaros securing a home win over fellow strugglers Kolossos.

Ivan Aska paced Ikaros with 26 points as they continue their rise up the table.

Panionios 79-47 Apollon Patras

Third-placed Panionios had no trouble beating Apollon in the Greek capital in a battle that was won in the first quarter, when the hosts found themselves 31-15 ahead.

Apollon came back, but a fourth quarter surge from Panionios made sure of the win. Kevin Langford led the winners with 19 points.

Aris 88-57 Trikalla

Aris pulled away in the second quarter to beat struggling Trikalla 88-57 in a game that was largely competitive for the first ten minutes. Then Aris showed their experience and pulled away to lead 46-28 at the half and never look back.

Eleftheros Bochoridis led Aris with 20 points, as they remain sixth. Michael Porrini led Trikalla with 13.
