Doc Rivers, the head coach of the LA Clippers, referred to Joakim Noah as a ‘mysterious piece’.
Noah signed with the Clippers on Monday. His contract will initially be for 10 days, yet he is expected to remain with the team until the end of the season.
“As of the start of the game, the Clippers had not yet announced the signing of Noah. “A mysterious piece,” Rivers called him, because, I guess, league rules prevent him from acknowledging what everyone already knows,” Joe Vardon of The Athletic reports.
Noah played 42 games for the Memphis Grizzlies last season, averaging 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists. The veteran center has fully recovered from his Achilles injury.
