The head coach of the LA Clippers, Doc Rivers, shared his thoughts on how injuries have affected the team’s chemistry so far.
“I don’t think we are a flip-the-switch team. I would say anyone who says that doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Because flip-the-switch teams are teams that have been healthy all year and just have chosen not to play.
But, when you are out of sorts with different lineups, that’s different. I would say it is dangerous [to do that] but teams have done it. Golden State, by the way, did it a couple of times and won titles. You can do both,” Rivers said, via Tomer Azarly of Clutchpoints.
Rivers has used 28 different starting lineups this season due to injuries, while the game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday was only the fifth time this season that the Clippers had their entire roster available.
The Clippers have a 38-19 record this season, being third in the West.
