Kemba Walker talked about his decision to keep his No.8 jersey in honor of LA Lakers and NBA legend, Kobe Bryant.

Walker admits No.8 is a special number and he wants to keep Bryant’s legacy going.

“It’s definitely a very special number. You know, Kobe was really young when he wore it, but yeah, obviously it was a tragic passing and now that number means even more. Every time I step on the court, I just wanna give 100 percent for him.

I think Kobe would want me and allow me to wear it. We wanna keep his legacy going, keep his name alive,” Walker told Rachel Nichols of ESPN.

Bryant and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash on January 26.
