A non-profit youth organization out of Maryland, named “Game Plan”, claims that LeBron James took their slogan “I am more than an athlete” to create his own “More Than An Athlete”, TMZ Sports reports.

According to Game Plan, they created the slogan back in 2016 and registered it as a trademark in 2018. They claim that LeBron saw their members wearing shirts with the “I am more than an athlete” slogan during the Cavaliers – Wizards game in 2017.

The claim reportedly states that: “The attendance at the game gave Game Plan tremendous exposure, as it was able to gain attention from John Wall in front of his peers including the (arguably) most famous athlete in the world, as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, at the time, LeBron James.”

As the owner of the trademark Game Plan claims to have right to all profits, i.e. $33 million. The lawsuit is against Uninterrupted, Nike, Disney and Take-Two Interactive Software Inc.
