Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Giannis Sfairopoulos reportedly close to a two-year contract extension

Maccabi Tel-Aviv and head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos are close to a two-year contract extension, per Moshes Barda.

According to the Israeli journalist, the two sides are expecting to reach an agreement soon and the Greek coach will remain with the Israeli powerhouse until 2022.

Sfairopoulos took over Maccabi in November 2018 and his current deal with the Israelis expire in June 2020.

Maccabi is at 9-4 in the EuroLeague.
