Giannis Antetokounmpo set a new career-high with Greece (26 points) and led his team past the Dominican Republic (87-75).
Aside from the “Greek Freak”, three more players scored in double figures for the winners. On the other hand, Sadiel Rojas (16 points), Rigoberto Mendoza (13 points, four rebounds) and Victor Liz (13 points) stood out for the losing squad.
It was a close game until halftime (24-21, 48-47), but the Greeks outscored their opponents 39-28 in the second half and earned the victory.
Greece will face Venezuela in the final of the 2019 Suzhou International Basketball Challenge on Tuesday (27/08).
